Belagavi
Anasuya Kamble, a Dalit woman Activist is one of the important writers in Kannada Literature. She was born on 28th December 1970 in Bemalapura village in Belagavi District of North Karnataka. After her Masters degree in Kannada from Karnataka University Dharwad (KUD), she submitted her MPhil thesis under the title ‘Baragurara Kadambarigalu: Ondu Adhyayana’. Her Doctoral thesis titled ‘Adunika Kannada Sahityadamele Ambedkarara Prabhava’ highlighted the contribution of B.R. Ambedkar to Modern Kannada.
